The Gallery’s first show, featuring the art of Galen Cheney, launched on Wednesday, 13 January, to encouraging numbers. During the first three full days of the show, it has averaged over 250 visitors per day, with an average of 4.5 page views per visit.

Here’s what those numbers mean. First, visitors are coming, drawn by the beautiful work of Galen Cheney. Collectors are taking a serious look at her art, resulting in one sale and two paintings on hold with sales pending. Visitors are also moving on to the Meet Galen Cheney page to view her video, and to read her CV and Artist Statement. They are also enjoying the Catalog FlipBook.

But that’s only three. So, visitors are also diving deeper into the Gallery website, viewing the About page, the Artist Services page, and the Contact The Gallery page. The Gallery has received some very kind emails from show visitors with complimentary words for Galen and for the show’s presentation.

Virtual Art Gallery Show Audience

Visitors are coming not only from the United States, though. In the first three days of the show, visitors came from Canada, France, Italy, Netherlands, Germany, Russia, and Ireland. And, artists from some of these countries have expressed an interest in showing their work with Blue Heron Gallery Online.

These are all encouraging signs, even though this is just the first show only 3 days in. Blue Heron Gallery Online will continue in its dedicated work to make the virtual art gallery show a viable business model and a success for artists who wish to both show and sell their work online.

Websites for Artists

One final note about the gallery’s efforts. Four new websites for artists have been requested in these first three days, along with online promotional services for their launch. With shows booked into the late spring already, and now four new websites to develop, the gallery will be busy well into the new year.

Artists who might be interested in booking a virtual show should contact the gallery using the convenient Contact Form here.
